Yard Waste Bin
Florence does not offer a separate yard waste cart. Small amounts of vegetation must be bagged and placed in the regular trash cart. Large branches and palm fronds must be saved and bundled for the monthly bulk trash collection.

Placement
Place items in front of your property next to the street without blocking the sidewalk. Do not place items out for pick-up more than 48 hours in advance of the 2nd Monday.

The initial monthly pickup is free for active utility customers. If residents require a second bulk pick-up in the same month, an additional fee of approximately $82.50 applies.
Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If your scheduled service occurs on the week of an observed holiday, your trash and recyclables will be picked up one day later than usual. For example, Monday's route is picked up on Tuesday, and Thursday's route is picked up on Friday.
Yard Waste Exception
There is no separate yard waste collection; green waste follows standard holiday delay schedules.
Minor federal holidays do not disrupt service. Carts should be placed out on their normal day unless it is one of the four major holidays listed.

June to SeptemberIntense Arizona heat requires collection crews to begin routes very early in the morning. Always place your carts at the curb the night before or no later than 5:30 AM on your scheduled service day.

July to SeptemberMonsoon microbursts and heavy winds can easily tip over unbagged trash, creating massive neighborhood litter issues. Ensure all garbage is securely bagged and that your cart lids are completely closed.
Winter
November to MarchWith the influx of winter residents and 'snowbirds,' overall waste volumes in Florence increase significantly. Ensure your bins are properly spaced at least 3 feet apart to accommodate the automated trucks handling the higher neighborhood density.
