General Rule
Starting in 2026, Peoria residents only need to remember three holidays for collection delays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. If your collection day falls on or after these holidays, service pushes back by one day (e.g., Thursday moves to Friday). All other holidays run on a normal schedule.
Yard Waste Exception
Since Peoria does not have a separate yard waste service, all bagged green waste inside your trash bin will follow the standard holiday delay rules.
Even on holidays that do not affect the schedule (like Memorial Day or Labor Day), bins must be at the curb by 6:00 a.m. sharp.
