If a designated holiday falls on a weekday (Monday-Friday) or Sunday, residential collection is delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
Yard Waste Exception
Yard waste is collected on the same delayed schedule as your standard trash and recycling.
If the holiday falls on a Saturday, there are no delays to your collection schedule.

Keep Palm Fronds Out of Organics
Unlike standard leaves and branches, palm fronds are extremely tough, stringy, and coarse. They do not break down in municipal composting facilities and must be discarded in your black landfill cart.
Loose Recyclables Only
Never place your recyclables inside plastic garbage bags. The material recovery facility (MRF) relies on automated sorting machinery, and plastic bags will jam the gears, causing facility shutdowns.
No E-Waste or Batteries at the Curb
Lithium-ion batteries and electronic waste pose a severe fire hazard to collection trucks. Never place them in any of your three curbside bins; take them directly to the Blue Gum Street HHW Center.
