Placement

Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If your collection day falls on or after New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day, service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week (e.g., Friday pickups will occur on Saturday).
Yard Waste Exception
Organics and recycling follow the exact same one-day delay as your regular garbage collection.
While the Republic Services business office closes on other holidays like Memorial Day and Labor Day, curbside collection routes are completely unaffected on those days.

Say No to Plastic Film
Even if your plastic grocery bags have a recycling symbol, they cannot go into the blue cart in Fairfield. Bagged recyclables and loose plastic film wrap around the gears of the sorting equipment at the recycling facility, causing dangerous jams.
