Trash Day
Trash is collected twice a week based on your neighborhood zone (typically Monday/Thursday, Tuesday/Friday, or Wednesday/Saturday).
Recycling
Recycling is collected once per week in the blue single-stream cart on your designated neighborhood collection day.
Yard Waste
Small vegetative debris (coconuts, palm fronds, grass clippings) goes into the gray cart on your regular twice-weekly trash days; larger yard debris is collected during your weekly bulk pickup day.
Set Out Time
By 7:00 AM on collection day (carts may be set out after 5:00 PM the evening before).

General Rule
Collection operations run normally on almost all holidays, except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Yard Waste Exception
All bulk, yard waste, and standard cart collections scheduled for Thanksgiving or Christmas are simply canceled and delayed until your next regularly scheduled service day.
On the service day following Thanksgiving or Christmas, crews are authorized to pick up extra bagged household material placed adjacent to your gray cart.

June to NovemberOnce a named tropical storm or hurricane watch is issued for Broward County, immediately suspend all heavy pruning. Do not place any new bulk trash or vegetative debris at the curb, as high winds can turn piles into dangerous projectiles.
Major Pruning Season
Spring and FallWhen undertaking large landscaping projects, take advantage of the city's special bi-annual 16-cubic-yard vegetative pickup. You must call 954-786-4030 to schedule an appointment before putting the debris curbside.
Winter Holidays
Late DecemberFollowing Christmas Day, collection skips until your next normal service day. During this period, Coastal Waste & Recycling will temporarily collect bagged overflow garbage placed neatly next to your gray cart.
