Republic Services operates normally on all holidays except Christmas Day.
Yard Waste Exception
Bulk and large yard waste collections that coincide with Christmas Day will be suspended and collected on the next scheduled service day.
If your collection day falls on Christmas Day, all services will simply roll over and be collected on your next regular scheduled service day.

Managing South Florida Yard Debris
Maintaining tropical landscaping generates significant vegetative waste. In Sunrise, smaller yard debris like grass clippings, leaves, and tiny twigs must be placed entirely inside your 95-gallon or 65-gallon garbage cart with the lid closed. However, larger vegetative debris, including massive palm fronds or tree branches exceeding six feet in length or six inches in diameter, must be placed curbside as part of your weekly bulk pickup.
Regional Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Events
