Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If an observed holiday falls on a weekday, service is suspended for that day and all subsequent collections for the remainder of the week are delayed by one day.
Yard Waste Exception
Yard waste, recycling, and bulk collections follow the exact same one-day delay schedule as regular garbage.
Holidays that fall on a weekend do not affect the normal Monday through Friday collection schedule.

Glass is Banned Curbside

Clear Appliances of Freon
If you are utilizing your weekly bulk allowance for a refrigerator or AC unit, the item must have its Freon emptied and officially tagged by a certified HVAC technician before Red Oak will collect it.

Navigating the Shared Bag Limit
A standout feature of Woodstock's updated waste agreement is the 'Combined Bag Limit.' While your primary 95-gallon trash cart handles the bulk of household refuse, residents are permitted an overflow allowance of up to eight additional bags per week. However, this eight-bag limit is shared between excess household trash and yard waste bags. Crucially, any overflow bags placed at the curb must not exceed a 13-gallon capacity to ensure safe manual loading by sanitation crews.
