Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If your scheduled service day falls on or after an observed weekday holiday, your collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week.
Yard Waste Exception
During its active season, yard waste follows the exact same holiday delay schedule as standard trash and recycling.
Regular collection schedules resume at the start of the following week. Weekend holidays generally do not impact the Monday through Friday collection routes.

Keep Plastic Bags Out of the Recycling
Never bag your recyclables in plastic grocery bags. Plastic bags tangle in the sorting equipment. Keep recyclables loose in the bin [1.1.3].

Do not put flammable materials (oil, gas, paint, hot ashes), pool chemicals (muriatic acid), dirt, sod, or construction debris in your trash cart. These can cause fires and toxic fumes.
Pizza Boxes Are Trash
While clean cardboard is highly recyclable, the grease and cheese stuck to a used pizza box contaminate the paper pulping process. Always throw heavily soiled pizza boxes into your standard garbage bin.
