General Rule
If a holiday falls on a Monday through Thursday, your pickup will be delayed by one day.
Yard Waste Exception
Yard waste collection is delayed by one day during holiday weeks, following the same schedule as solid waste.
Friday is designated as the open day for delayed holiday week collections since standard routes run Monday through Thursday.

Keep the Carts Clean and Accessible
Do not put garbage bags on top of the cart lid. If your cart is overflowing, you may place additional items in appropriate containers or bags adjacent to your cart for pickup, keeping a 3-foot clearance.
Avoid Prohibited Yard Debris
Items like dirt, sod, large stumps, sand, gravel, and animal feces are strictly prohibited from yard waste containers and will not be collected by Priority Waste.
Properly Tie Large Brush
Bundled brush and tree limbs larger than 2 inches in diameter are considered regular trash, not yard waste. They must be tied with heavy twine, kept under 4 feet long, and weigh less than 50 pounds.

Disposing of Extra-Large Brush and Christmas Trees
Not all natural debris goes into the compost pile. Bundled brush and tree limbs that exceed two inches in diameter are actually collected alongside your regular trash. These branches must be tied with heavy twine, kept under four feet in length, and weigh less than 50 pounds. Following the holidays, natural Christmas trees are also picked up at the curb for three weeks. Just be sure to cut any tree taller than six feet in half before setting it out.
