Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If a major recognized holiday falls on a weekday, Kimble's trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week.
Yard Waste Exception
The holiday delay applies to all curbside services, including bundled brush and scheduled bulk items.
Your standard pickup day of the week will not change permanently, it only shifts backward during holiday weeks. Ensure carts are placed properly despite the delay.

Ditch the Plastic Bags
The number one contaminant at the Kimble Recycling Center is plastic film. Never bag your recyclables. Leave items loose in your 65-gallon cart so they can be properly sorted by the automated facility machinery.
Keep Cardboard Clean and Dry
While standard shipping boxes are perfect for recycling, food grease ruins the pulping process. Do not toss soiled pizza boxes or heavily food-stained paper products into your recycling cart.
Wrap Your Upholstery
If you are throwing out a mattress, couch, or upholstered chair, it must be tightly wrapped in plastic or sealed in a large plastic mattress bag. If left exposed, crews will leave it on the curb due to bedbug and biohazard safety protocols.
