Yard waste is collected on 18 designated Saturdays throughout the year. All loose yard waste must be placed in biodegradable bags. Limbs and branches must be tied into bundles under 4 feet long.

The first bulk item is free. If you have a second bulk item or exceed your 15-bag limit, you must call County Hauling Customer Service at (888) 883-0333 to pay an additional fee.
Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If a designated holiday falls on or before your normal collection day during the workweek, service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week.
Yard Waste Exception
Saturday yard waste collections are pre-scheduled dates and generally are not affected by weekday holiday delays.
If a major holiday falls on a weekend, your standard Monday through Friday collection schedule will proceed without any delays.

Check Your Plastic Numbers
County Hauling only accepts Type #1 (PET) and Type #2 (HDPE) plastics. This typically includes water bottles, soda bottles, milk jugs, and laundry detergent bottles. Plastics stamped with numbers 3 through 7 (like yogurt tubs or clamshell trays) must go in the regular trash.
Tear the Pizza Box in Half
While clean cardboard is highly recyclable, grease ruins the paper recycling process. If you order a pizza, tear the clean lid off and recycle it, but throw the grease-stained bottom half directly into your garbage bag.
Flatten and Stack Cardboard
If you have large shipping boxes, do not stuff them whole into your recycling bin. You must break them down flat and stack them neatly on the ground next to your recycling container to ensure they are collected.
