Holiday Schedule
General Rule
Standard curbside collection is suspended on city-observed holidays. If your normal pickup falls on the holiday, service will generally resume on the following business day, pushing the rest of the week's schedule back by one day.
Yard Waste Exception
Monthly brush and bulk zones may experience slight delays if a major holiday falls during your scheduled week. Leave items at the curb until the crews catch up.

It's worth a quick drive to see what places like "Scrap Iron Recycling" in McAllen or other similar operations are paying for aluminum cans, copper, and other metals. For those plastic bottles and aluminum cans, check out local redemption centers in nearby cities; sometimes, you can get a few cents back for each item, which really adds up if you're diligent about collecting them. It's a great way to offset those recycling bin contributions with a little extra spending money!
