Yard Waste Exception
All on-demand bulk or brush pickups scheduled during a holiday week will also be subject to the one-day delay.

Observed Holidays
Seasonal Information
Spring
March - MaySpring cleaning often generates heavy debris. Remember that you cannot leave old furniture or loose brush piles at the curb expecting normal pickup. You must call Tiger Sanitation at 210-333-4287 at least two days in advance to schedule and pay for bulk removal.
Summer
June - AugustThe intense South Texas summer heat causes garbage to decompose rapidly. To minimize severe odors and prevent pest infestations, ensure all food waste is securely double-bagged before placing it in your outdoor cart.
Winter
December - FebruaryHoliday scheduling is simple: Tiger Sanitation only takes off Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. If your regular collection falls on or after one of these three holidays, your service will be delayed by exactly one day that week.

Turning Those Bottles and Cans into Cold Hard Cash Around Timberwood Park?
While Timberwood Park itself might not have a dedicated buyback center right in the neighborhood, the great state of Texas has a fantastic program for beverage containers! You can get a few cents back for those aluminum cans and glass bottles. For other recyclables like scrap metal, your best bet is to check out places in nearby San Antonio. Look for 'scrap metal recycling' in San Antonio online – they'll often take things like old appliances (if they're empty and drained, of course!) or leftover metal pieces from projects. It's a great way to keep stuff out of the landfill and make a little extra spending money.
