General Rule
Solid waste and recycling collection that falls on a town-observed holiday will typically be collected the business day immediately after the holiday, with unique shifts around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Different Alloys Don't Mix
Do not put aluminum foil, pie pans, or cat food cans in your blue recycling cart. They are a different alloy than standard beverage cans and must be taken separately to the Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority.
Keep Brush Piles Pure
When setting out your monthly brush pile, ensure absolutely no leaves, vines, weeds, or construction lumber are mixed in. The town’s chippers can only process raw tree limbs and pruned logs.
No Overflow Allowed
Everything you throw away must fit completely inside your assigned green or blue cart with the lid closed. Any extra bags of trash or loose cardboard boxes left beside the cart will be ignored by collection drivers.
