Arizona residential routes operate weekly (Mon-Fri) depending on your neighborhood zone. Some municipalities shift to earlier collection hours during extreme summer heat.

Containers must be placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day with the lid completely closed. Leave at least three feet of clearance between the trash and recycling carts.

Placement
Items must be placed curbside, away from walls, mailboxes, and parked cars. Collection may take up to 48 hours from your scheduled date. The Town will not collect items left out on un-scheduled weeks.

Holiday Schedule
General Rule
Queen Creek only alters its trash schedule for three major holidays. If your scheduled collection day falls on or after Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day, your service will be delayed by one calendar day for the rest of the week.
Yard Waste Exception
Monthly scheduled bulk pickups are not performed on major holidays. You will need to choose a different day for your bulk appointment.
Holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, and Veterans Day do NOT affect your trash pickup. Service continues normally.

Keep Plastic Bags Out of the Blue Bin
Plastic grocery bags and garbage bags wrap around the sorting gears at the Waste Connections Materials Recovery Facility, causing costly shutdowns. Never bag your recyclables, and take plastic film to local grocery store drop-offs.
Strip the Shipping Boxes
Before flattening your e-commerce corrugated cardboard boxes, you must remove all plastic air pillows, styrofoam blocks, and packing peanuts. These materials are strictly prohibited in the blue recycling cart.
Rinse the Glass
Queen Creek allows glass in its curbside blue bins, but you must ensure the bottles and jars are lightly rinsed and completely free of sticky food residue to avoid contaminating the surrounding clean paper.
