While food scraps and fruit peels are completely welcome in your green organics cart, the tiny plastic stickers on your apples and bananas are not. Remove these stickers before tossing fruit waste, as they do not break down in the composting process.
Beware of Wish-Cycling
Just because an item is made of plastic doesn't mean WM can recycle it. Garden hoses, plastic wrap, and expanded polystyrene foam often carry a recycling symbol but will ruin a batch of good recyclables. When in doubt, throw it out in the black bin.
