Holiday Schedule
General Rule
The City of Groveland halts garbage and recycling collection on six major holidays. If your scheduled service day falls on or after one of these holidays, your pickup will be shifted and delayed by one day for the remainder of that week.
Yard Waste Exception
Because yard waste and bulk pick up occur on the same day as your regular garbage day, these services will also be delayed by one day following an observed holiday.
If you need immediate disposal during a holiday weekend, you can contact the Loghouse Transfer Station in Clermont or the Lake County Solid Waste Landfill to verify their operating hours.

No Glass or Paper Allowed
Unlike most cities, Groveland does not accept glass bottles, newspapers, or magazines in the recycling bin. Throw all glass jars and reading materials into your standard 95-gallon trash can.
Only Corrugated Cardboard Survives
Cardboard recycling is strictly limited to heavy corrugated shipping boxes, which must be cut down to 2x3 foot pieces. Flimsy paperboard, like cereal boxes, shoe boxes, or tissue boxes, will contaminate the load and must go in the trash.
Keep the Plastics Simple
