Blue Cart Bin (Recycling)

Placement
Place bulk waste on the swale or alleyway no earlier than 24 hours prior to service. Keep piles away from trees, mailboxes, water meters, and guy wires to allow mechanical claw trucks to operate safely.

If a pile exceeds 6 cubic yards, is mixed with yard waste, or is set out too early, the city will issue a code violation. Unresolved violations result in a forced pickup with a $200 administrative fee plus the cost of disposal.
Holiday Schedule
General Rule
Waste Pro observes six major holidays. If you receive twice-a-week garbage collection and the holiday falls on your day, your pickup is skipped until the next scheduled day. If you receive once-a-week recycling or yard waste on the holiday, service typically shifts one day behind for the remainder of that week.
Yard Waste Exception
Yard waste will follow the same one-day delay rule as recycling if it normally falls on a Waste Pro observed holiday.

Spring Cleaning
March - MayIf you are embarking on major home cleanouts, remember that construction materials like drywall, tiles, and brick are strictly banned from curbside pickup. You must hire a contractor or transport these materials yourself to the Broward County Landfill.
Winter Holidays
December - JanuaryCardboard shipping boxes from holiday gifts must be broken down flat and placed in the blue cart. Wrapping paper is acceptable unless it features metallic foil, glitter, or is heavily dyed. Toss all Styrofoam packing peanuts and bubble wrap into the regular trash.

Who do I call if my gray garbage cart is damaged or stolen in Hollywood?
