Waste Management only suspends collection on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day in the Town of Jupiter. If your regular collection day falls on one of these two holidays, your garbage will be collected on your next regularly scheduled collection day.
Yard Waste Exception
Yard waste and bulk item collections follow the exact same holiday delay structure as regular household garbage.
For all other holidays (e.g., Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, New Year's Day), waste collection runs on a completely normal schedule. Ensure your items are out by 7:00 a.m.

Before you toss a plastic water bottle or a glass pasta jar into your blue recycling bin, you must remove the cap or lid and throw it in the regular trash. The sorting machines cannot process these small, dense plastic pieces.
Clamshells Belong in the Trash
Clear plastic clamshell containers, such as the ones used for strawberries, salads, or bakery items, are strictly prohibited in Jupiter's blue recycling bins. They melt at a different temperature than plastic bottles and must go in the garbage.
Size Your Cardboard Properly
If you have large shipping boxes, you cannot simply flatten them and lean them against your yellow bin. All corrugated cardboard must be broken down and cut into squares no larger than 3 feet by 3 feet to be accepted.
