Yard Waste Exception
Because regular household waste is collected twice a week in Palm Coast, if your collection falls on one of these holidays, it will simply be picked up on your next regularly scheduled service day.

Keep Plastic Bags Out of the Recycle Bin
Never place your recyclables in plastic grocery bags, and do not put loose plastic bags in the recycling bin. They jam the sorting machinery at the GEL Recycling facility. Bag your garbage, but keep recyclables loose.
Rinse Your Containers Thoroughly
Before tossing glass jars, soda cans, or plastic tubs into your recycling bin, rinse them out completely. Food residue contaminates entire batches of otherwise viable paper and cardboard.
Do Not Mix Bulk and Yard Waste
Because they are collected on different days by different trucks, never mix your household bulk items (like a broken chair) into your Wednesday yard waste pile. Mixed piles will be bypassed by collection crews.
