Anne Arundel County operates on a slide schedule. If your normal collection day falls on or after a county-observed holiday, your pickup will slide to the following day (e.g., Monday moves to Tuesday, Friday moves to Saturday).
Yard Waste Exception
Yard waste and recycling collections follow the exact same holiday slide schedule as standard household trash.
For on-post residents, Corvias holiday schedules may differ slightly. Always check your community newsletter or the Corvias resident portal for base-specific delays.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who picks up my trash in Fort Meade?
It depends on exactly where you live. If you live in privatized military housing on the installation, your services are managed by Corvias Property Management. If you live off-post in the surrounding community, your trash is managed by the Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works.
Can I put my recycling in black trash bags?
No. Anne Arundel County prohibits any recyclables from being placed in plastic bags. All materials must be placed loosely inside your yellow county-issued recycling cart.
Do I need to schedule a bulk pickup?
Yes. For off-post residents, Anne Arundel County requires an appointment for bulk trash collection. You can schedule this online through the DPW portal. On-post residents should consult their Corvias resident guidelines.
Why didn't they take my yard waste bags in July?
During June, July, and August, the county shifts to a summer schedule to avoid extreme heat. All collections begin at 5:00 a.m. instead of 6:00 a.m. If you placed your bags out at your normal time, the truck likely already passed your house.
