Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If a designated holiday falls on a weekday on or before your service day, your collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week (e.g., Thursday pickups shift to Friday).
Yard Waste Exception
Since yard waste services naturally halt from December through March, winter holiday delays predominantly affect standard trash and recycling collections.
Holidays falling on a weekend generally do not disrupt the standard Monday-Friday collection schedules.

Keep the Tanglers Out
Never throw plastic or metal wire hangers into your recycling cart. Along with extension cords and garden hoses, these items act as 'tanglers' and will completely jam the automated sorting gears at the recycling center.
Ban the Bubble Wrap
Flexible plastics like grocery bags, storage bags, and bubble wrap packing materials cannot be recycled curbside. They must be taken to specialized retail drop-offs or thrown straight into the regular trash.
Pizza Boxes: The Grease Rule
While clean cardboard is an excellent recyclable material, the grease and melted cheese on a pizza box ruin the paper fibers. Tear off the clean top half to recycle it, and toss the soiled bottom half in the garbage.
