Pro Tip / Discount

All waste must be drained of liquids, securely wrapped or bagged, and placed inside the cart. Set out before 6:30 AM on collection day with the lid completely closed and the handle facing your home.

Holiday Schedule
General Rule
There is no collection on major Borough holidays. Residents are advised to download the Recycle Coach app for automatic notifications regarding shifted pickup days.
Yard Waste Exception
If a collection day falls on or before a holiday, vegetation collection will resume the following working day and continue until all streets are collected.
Juneteenth is an exception; trash collection will continue as scheduled despite Borough offices being closed.

January to OctoberDuring these months, residents with valid ID can drop off yard waste directly at the Public Works yard on Gibbsboro Road, Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Contractors are barred from using this drop-off.
Fall
Late October to DecemberDedicated leaf collection typically begins around the last week of October. The Borough asks residents to check the CivicEngage calendar and Recycle Coach app for specific zone schedules and guidelines on leaf piling.
Winter
December to MarchDuring winter weather events, ensure your carts are placed clear of snowbanks by 6:30 AM. Additionally, the first-Monday monthly bulk yard waste program is paused during November and December.

No. Lindenwold utilizes an automated mechanical arm system, meaning regular trash cans or bags placed outside the official borough carts will not be collected. If you need more capacity, you can purchase an additional 96-gallon cart for a one-time $70 fee.
How do I dispose of a large tree stump or log?
Stumps and logs that are 12 inches in diameter or larger are not accepted in standard weekly yard waste carts. You must neatly stack them at the curb and call the Public Works Department to schedule a specialized Thursday pick-up.
What are the spacing rules for my trash and recycling carts?
To allow the automated truck arms enough clearance, carts must be placed at least 10 feet away from parked cars and a minimum of 3 feet away from fences, mailboxes, utility poles, or other carts.
Does the Borough collect construction debris from home renovations?
Curbside collection of construction debris is strictly prohibited. Homeowners handling major renovations must rent a private dumpster. However, small amounts of residential construction debris may be brought directly to the Public Works facility.
