General Rule
Waste Connections only observes New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a weekday, service will be disrupted. If the holiday falls on a weekend, there is no interruption of service.
Yard Waste Exception
Small bulk and yard waste collections scheduled for a holiday will experience the same delays as the regular garbage collection.
Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day are considered normal, regular collection days in Burleson. Do not delay your bins on these summer holidays.

Manage Moving Boxes Properly
If you have numerous moving boxes, you must break them down. You can place them loosely into the recycling cart, or stack the broken-down boxes tightly into one larger box and set them out next to your regular trash. Always remove all foam packing materials first.
Keep Plastic Bags Out of the Recycling Cart
While Burleson allows plastic bags for your regular garbage and yard waste, they are strictly prohibited in the 65-gallon recycling cart. Plastic bags wrap around the sorting gears at the recycling plant, so all recyclables must remain loose.
Separate Brush From Bulk
During your assigned monthly bulky waste week, you must create distinct, separate piles at the curb: one for tree limbs and yard brush, and a completely separate pile for large household items and furniture.

You can take your Household Hazardous Waste to the Environmental Collection Center (ECC) located on Bridge Street in Fort Worth. Simply bring your recent City of Burleson water or solid waste bill and a photo ID to utilize this facility at no extra charge.
