Brush may be collected during regular household trash routes ONLY if it is bundled, does not exceed 2.5 feet in height, 4 feet in width, and 5 feet in length, and weighs under 35 pounds. Unbundled or large brush must be taken to the Type IV Landfill or held for city-wide cleanup campaigns.

General Rule
The City of Eagle Pass modifies solid waste collection routes during official city holidays. Typically, routes falling on a holiday are delayed by one day. Residents should refer to the official city calendar or sign up for emergency/community alerts online for exact holiday route changes.
Yard Waste Exception
All bundled yard waste placed curbside follows the same holiday delays as regular automated garbage collection.
Per city ordinance, bins and waste should not be left out on the curb for more than 48 hours, inclusive of weekends and holiday delays.

The Eagle Pass Recycling Center has specific limitations on plastics. They only accept PETE #1 plastics. Check the bottom of your bottles and containers for the #1 symbol before dropping them off, and throw all other plastic grades into your regular household garbage.
Keep Heavy Debris Out of the Cart
Never place dirt, concrete, sod, or heavy rocks into your 96-gallon municipal cart. Not only does this violate city ordinances, but the excess weight can snap the automated lifting arms on the garbage trucks or crack the cart itself.
Separate Brush From Bulk
During the city-wide cleanup campaigns, you must separate your yard brush from your furniture and white goods. Commingling organic brush with bulky waste slows down the collection crews and may result in your pile being rejected.
