Frequency
Unlimited free bulky item pickups per calendar year for single-family residential properties. (Multi-family properties receive four free pickups per year).
Placement
Bulky item pickups must be scheduled at least two (2) business days in advance of your regular collection day. Do not place items at the curb until your appointment is confirmed.

Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If a recognized holiday falls on a weekday, collection services for the remainder of that week will be delayed by exactly one day (e.g., Thursday pickups move to Friday).
Yard Waste Exception
No exceptions. The green organics cart follows the exact same delayed holiday schedule as regular trash and recycling.
If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there is no delay to the weekday pickup schedule. Always ensure carts are curbside by 6:00 a.m. on the adjusted service day.

Palm Fronds Belong in the Trash
While they are a type of plant, palm fronds are extremely fibrous and cannot break down correctly in CR&R's commercial anaerobic digesters. In Stanton, palm fronds must always be thrown directly into your grey/black landfill cart.
Use Dishwater to Rinse Recyclables
Heavily soiled containers can contaminate an entire bale of clean recyclables, sending them to the landfill. CR&R recommends a quick and eco-friendly habit: use leftover dishwater to thoroughly rinse out food residue from plastic and glass containers before tossing them in the blue cart.
Never Bag Your Recyclables
Plastic grocery bags and trash bags ruin the mechanical sorting process at the material recovery facility by tangling in the conveyor gears. Always leave your cardboard, paper, cans, and plastics completely loose inside your blue recycling bin.

December - JanuaryCR&R provides a special two-week curbside Christmas tree collection program beginning December 26th [2.2.4]. Remove all ornaments, lights, and metal stands. Trees taller than six feet must be cut in half before being placed at the curb on your normal collection day.

VariesThe City of Stanton Public Works Department hosts two free bulky item drop-off events annually for all residents. You must provide proof of residency (such as a utility bill or driver's license) to participate and drop off excess furniture and e-waste.
