Holiday Schedule
General Rule
When a holiday falls on a weekday, collections for that day and the rest of the week roll over to the next day (e.g., Monday moves to Tuesday). If a holiday falls on a weekend, there is no delay.
Yard Waste Exception
Bulk and yard waste collections scheduled for the third week will also follow the standard holiday rollover schedule if they coincide with an observed holiday.
Days prior to a holiday will not be affected. Always verify the current year's holiday calendar on the City of Anna's official website.

Separate Carts by Three Feet
Because CARDS Recycling uses automated trucks, they need adequate space to maneuver. Ensure your orange and gray-top carts are at least 3 feet apart from each other, vehicles, fences, and mailboxes.
Tear the Pizza Box
While clean cardboard pizza box tops are acceptable in your gray recycling cart, any section stained with grease or stuck with food residue must go straight into the orange trash cart.
Keep Recyclables Loose
Never bag your recyclables in plastic trash bags. Place them loosely directly into the gray-top cart, or use brown paper bags to contain smaller paper items.

You must contact them directly for temporary container rentals. Alternatively, heavy construction debris can be self-hauled to the 121 Regional Disposal Facility in Melissa.
FOG (Fats, Oils, and Grease) Prevention
Anna's public works department strictly advises against pouring fats, oils, and grease down the kitchen sink.
