Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If an observed holiday falls on a weekday, collections for the remainder of that week are delayed by one day. Do not follow San Antonio newspaper holiday announcements for Converse services.

Why wasn't my bulk trash picked up by the city?
There are three common reasons bulk trash is skipped in Converse: you placed it out after the truck already passed during the 3rd full week, your pile exceeded the 6 cubic feet size limit, or you placed items inside garbage bags, which is strictly prohibited.
Does the City of Converse pick up yard brush or tree stumps?
No. Brush, cuttings from trees, shrubs, cactus, palm leaves, and tree stumps are categorized as unacceptable materials for the monthly bulk pick-up. You must manage this debris independently.
Should I follow the San Antonio trash schedule for holidays?
Absolutely not. The City of Converse explicitly states to ignore the San Antonio newspaper schedules. Converse Waste Management trucks only stop running on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
Can I put glass bottles in my green recycling cart?
No. Converse's recycling guidelines do not accept brown, green, or any other type of glass jars, bottles, mirrors, or window glass. All glass must be disposed of in your standard garbage bin.
