Bulk collection is included in standard residential service. There is no additional fee unless the service is abused for unauthorized commercial or contractor waste.
Holiday Schedule
General Rule
If your scheduled pickup day falls on an observed holiday, service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week (e.g., Thursday service shifts to Friday, and Friday to Saturday).
Yard Waste Exception
Bulk and yard waste collections follow the exact same holiday delay schedule as standard trash and recycling routes.
Grapevine and Republic Services only observe these three major holidays. Normal service continues uninterrupted on Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

Never Bag Your Recyclables
The sorting facility machinery cannot process plastic bags. Always leave your cardboard, glass, and plastic containers completely loose inside your green recycling cart.
Use Paper or Reusable Cans for Yard Waste
Republic Services will not collect grass clippings or leaves if they are in standard plastic garbage bags. You must use biodegradable paper lawn bags or a reusable personal trash can to dispose of small yard waste.
Contractor Waste is Prohibited
If you hire a contractor for landscaping, tree removal, or home remodeling, they are legally required to haul away their own debris. The city will not collect concrete, rocks, bricks, or contractor-generated brush at the curb.

December - JanuaryFollowing the holidays, Christmas trees can be placed at the curb for collection. Ensure all decorations, lights, and stands are completely removed. Trees will be picked up on your designated clean brush collection day.
Spring
March - MaySpring is a popular time for yard cleanup. Remember that clean brush is collected strictly on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday or Wednesday of the month, depending on whether you live north or south of Northwest Highway.

About Grapevine Waste Management
Automated Cart Collection in Grapevine
Starting in late 2024, the City of Grapevine transitioned to a fully automated curbside collection program. Residents must place all household garbage exclusively inside the city-issued blue 95-gallon or 65-gallon cart, ensuring the lid is completely closed. Republic Services will not collect any loose bags or personal cans left outside the blue cart on standard trash days, as the updated fleet relies solely on mechanical arms for servicing.
Understanding Your Bulk and Brush Days
To streamline collection and keep neighborhoods clean, Grapevine designates specific days for bulk waste and clean brush, dividing the city into two zones. Homes north of Northwest Highway receive service on Tuesdays, while those south of the line are serviced on Wednesdays. Clean brush and yard waste are collected on the 1st and 3rd weeks of the month, whereas large bulky items—and any excess bagged household trash—are reserved for the 2nd, 4th, and 5th weeks.
Simple and Effective Curbside Recycling
Recycling is collected weekly in Grapevine using the city-provided green cart. Unlike some programs that require sorting, Grapevine utilizes single-stream recycling, allowing you to mix flattened cardboard, metal cans, plastics, and glass together. To prevent truck jams and ensure materials can be efficiently processed at the recycling facility, it is critical that all recyclables remain unbagged and loose inside your green cart.
Disposing of E-Waste and Household Hazards
While items like wet paint, motor oil, and old electronics are banned from curbside bins, residents have excellent local drop-off options. Grapevine offers a convenient E-Waste and single-stream drop-off location at the Municipal Service Center on Shady Brook Drive. For more dangerous chemicals, Grapevine partners with the Environmental Collection Center in Fort Worth to provide free, year-round hazardous waste disposal for residents.

What if my trash doesn't fit in the new blue cart?
Bagged trash left outside the cart will not be collected on your regular trash days. You must hold any excess bags until your designated Bulk/Brush collection day (the 2nd, 4th, or 5th Tuesday/Wednesday). Alternatively, you can request an additional blue cart from the city for a $6 monthly fee.
How do I know if my bulk day is on Tuesday or Wednesday?
The city is divided into two zones. If your home is located north of Northwest Highway, your bulk and brush collection day is Tuesday. If you live south of Northwest Highway, your collection day is Wednesday.
Where can I safely dispose of hazardous waste?
Household hazardous waste cannot be placed in your curbside carts. Grapevine partners with the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center at 6400 Bridge Street to provide free, year-round HHW drop-off for its residents.
Can I still use my personal trash cans from the hardware store?
