When utilizing the Citizens Collection Station for recycling, you must empty all plastics, cans, and paper out of your plastic garbage bags. Plastic bags are considered severe contamination. The only exception is shredded paper, which should be bagged when placed in the paper container.
Only Plastics #1 and #2
Midland's recycling facilities strictly process only #1 and #2 plastics, such as water bottles, milk jugs, and detergent bottles. Plastics #3 through #7, plastic wrap, and industrial-grade plastics like 5-gallon buckets will contaminate the bins and must be thrown in the trash.
