Trash is collected once weekly, Monday through Friday, based on subdivision (e.g., Carol Meadows on Monday, Old Town on Tuesday, Brooklands on Wednesday, Legends of Hutto on Thursday, and Carmel Creek on Friday).

Recycling is collected weekly on your assigned trash collection day.
Yard Waste
Yard waste and brush (bundled in lengths of 4 feet or less and under 35 lbs) are collected curbside on your scheduled pickup day as part of bulk waste service.

Bag all household waste securely. Place the cart at the curb by 6:00 a.m. with the lid opening facing the street. Position it 3 feet from mailboxes or vehicles, and keep carts 2 feet apart.

65-gallon customers are billed $8.75 per bulk pickup. Refrigerators require advanced scheduling and incur an extra fee for all customers regardless of cart size.
Holiday Schedule
General Rule
All ACDI departments are closed on these three holidays. When a holiday falls on a weekday, service runs one day later than usual for the remainder of the week.
Yard Waste Exception
This one-day delay applies uniformly to all residential collections, including bundled yard waste placed out as bulk.
Service runs exactly as normally scheduled if the observed holiday falls on a weekend.

March to MayTexas spring storms often leave behind fallen branches. Ensure any heavy brush is cut down to 3-4 feet in length and bundled tightly (under 35 pounds) to qualify for ACDI curbside bulk pickup.
Summer
June to AugustIntense summer heat in Williamson County can bake in foul cart odors. To keep your cart sanitary, periodically rinse it with a solution of 1 part bleach to 10 parts water, or sprinkle baking soda inside.
Winter
December to JanuaryDuring the holidays, remember that Al Clawson Disposal observes Christmas and New Year's Day. If your regular trash day lands on or after a weekday holiday, your collection will be delayed by one day.

Can I get an extra trash or recycling cart in Hutto?
Yes. If you frequently generate more waste than your cart can hold, you can order an additional container. Extra carts are provided at 50% of the normal monthly rate by contacting Utility Billing or Al Clawson Disposal.
Does my Hutto trash service include free bulk pickup?
It depends on your cart plan. If you selected the 95-gallon trash cart, bulk waste pickup is included. However, if you chose the 65-gallon trash container, bulk waste is not included, and you must call 512-930-5490 to schedule a pickup for an $8.75 fee.
How should I prepare tree branches for collection?
All brush and tree trimmings must be cut down to a maximum length of 4 feet, securely bundled with twine or rope, and weigh no more than 35 pounds per bundle. They should be placed outside your normal bins.
Will the city pick up an old television from the curb?
