Holiday Schedule

General Rule

If your service day falls on or after a Frontier Waste Solutions observed holiday, your service may experience a delay for that week.

Yard Waste Exception

Any scheduled bulk or bundled brush pickups will also shift in accordance with the holiday delay schedule.

Minor holidays usually do not affect the schedule. Check the Frontier App or the City of Manor website for real-time service alerts.

Observed Holidays

New Year's DayThanksgiving DayChristmas Day

!Contamination Tips

Skip the Plastic Bags

Never bag your recycling. Loose plastic film and grocery bags wrap around the gears at the sorting facility, causing massive equipment jams. Place items loosely in the cart.

Keep Pizza Boxes Out

Grease and food residue ruin paper recycling batches. Even if the box is cardboard, a greasy pizza box belongs in the standard trash cart, not the recycling bin.

Leave Out the Foam

Styrofoam cups, packing peanuts, and foam take-out containers are strictly prohibited from the recycling bin. They break apart easily and contaminate other viable recyclables.

Seasonal Information

Winter Holidays

November to January

Frontier Waste Solutions observes New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If your collection falls on or after these holidays, expect a one-day delay in service for that week.

Fall and Spring Cleanups

March and September

Certain utility districts (like Travis County MUD 2) typically schedule large semi-annual bulk and brush collections in March and September. Check your specific HOA or MUD newsletter for exact dates.

Summer Yard Work

June to August

When tackling major landscaping projects, remember that heavy construction dirt, loose logs, unbundled brush, and stumps will not be picked up during standard or bulk collection.

About Manor Waste Management

Manor's 2025 Transition to Frontier Waste Solutions

Effective January 1, 2025, the City of Manor officially transitioned its solid waste and recycling services to Frontier Waste Solutions. This includes comprehensive weekly garbage collection, bi-weekly recycling, and scheduled bulk waste pickups across all city-serviced residential zones, modernizing the waste management infrastructure for a rapidly growing population.

Handling Cart Replacements and Customer Service

If your trash or recycling cart is damaged, lost, or stolen, residents must address it directly through the new hauler. The City of Manor requires a $75.00 replacement fee for missing bins. Homeowners need to call Frontier Waste Solutions at 210-807-8555 to pay this fee and schedule the delivery of a new cart.

Navigating Bulk Waste and Semi-Annual MUD Events

Bulk waste rules can vary slightly depending on your specific neighborhood. While Frontier Waste Solutions manages standard bulk scheduling via their mobile app, certain Municipal Utility Districts (like MUD 2 / ShadowGlen) historically host massive semi-annual bulk and brush collection events during the first weeks of March and September, allowing up to 4 cubic yards of debris per home.

Appliance and Freon Disposal Policies

Getting rid of old appliances requires some prep work. If you are disposing of a refrigerator or air conditioning unit in Manor, it must be technician-certified as completely freon-free. Additionally, for safety reasons, all refrigerator and freezer doors must be entirely removed before placing the appliance at the curb.

Strict Contamination Controls for A/B Week Recycling

Recycling in Manor operates on an alternating 'A/B Week' schedule. Frontier Waste Solutions enforces strict contamination rules to keep the recycling stream clean. Residents are reminded to never bag their recyclables, keep food-soiled items like pizza boxes out, and completely avoid tossing in foam cups or wire hangers, which can jam the sorting facility's machinery.
